I think I have signed probably two loans since that episode. They still do not call. I think they found a notary to work for less.

I just did a Countrywide Full Spectrum for them Friday - very generous fee, no handholding (except for faxbacks) and I'm being paid directly from the HUD...nice people who know their stuff, too. If they are always like they were with me Friday I'll take all they can throw my way!!

I have never had a problem with LandAmerica. If the signing changes (edocs, piggyback etc) they have always changed the confirmation. And, so far I have been paid within 2 weeks of the signing.

Well, they tried again with me. They called with a "refi" with e-docs. First they said $100.00 - I said $125.00. They agreed with that fee a little too easy. I found out later in a voice mail message that it was a refi with a piggy back! No wonder they were so fast jumping on the $125.

I very nicely called and told them that I wasn't told about the 2nd and I would need a new confirmation sheet to adjust my fee. I got it too!

Boy.....you really gotta watch these guys!

My office manager just took a call from LandAmerica OneStop. They wanted me to go to a place that would take an hour and a half one way with edocs for 100 dollars. When he said we could not do that for the little money she was offering, the person on the other end stated that she would note it in my profile and further commented "see how much work we get from them after that."

How rude and unprofessional. I have contracted with LandAmerica for approximately ten years without issue and now it seems as though they are going down the slope of closing companies. By the time I figured out what the signing would cost me, I would have been taking in less than minimum wage. I am glad my officer manager said no.

That's unreal! They just sent me a new confirmation sheet a couple of minutes ago saying that now I have to print the complete doc packs. I'll never agree to a fee like that again. I only said yes in the beginning because it was supposed to be overnight docs and was close to home.

I won't make that mistake again!

I just got screwed over by LandAmerica. They called me to do a signing with overnight docs to the borrower. We agreed on $75.00 (since it's only 6 miles away).

After I agreed, I was told I "might" have to print 20 or so pages. Well, you know I will and double that because you need to print 2 sets which is 40 or so. I asked to have my fee bumped up to at least $85. I was told that they won't compensate for printing docs unless you print the full doc package!! I couldn't believe it!!

I told them that if there are ANY fax backs that I will charge per page and if I have to split the docs, I would charge for that too. I was "assured" that I had no fax backs & didn't have to split them. We'll see....

Never again! I won't do an overnight doc signing for less than $100.00. Too much aggrevation and headaches.
