Sure is !!
That's why I don't "front" the fees, add 0.11 per copy page.
In all "fairness" it's 50 cents less (of each rate) for local calls; but the signing faxing is never "local" - probably would be cheaper to just drive and drop off locally if they were nearby.

Once they do the math, and some have called Kinko's to confirm the rates; they opt for same day drop.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I much appreciate it. PlsSign, I guess I am going to have to just let them know that going forward, I'll have to address those issues, rather than sucking it up & festering after the fact about it.

I'm in a very rural area with no UPS or FedEx drop boxes in my area - depending on the location of the signing in relation to the dropoff location, I could feasibly incur 30 additional miles travel to drop the pkg.
Therefore, my quoted fees reflect that fact and when they balk at my fees I explain what situation I'm facing - xx miles to get to and from the signing and xx miles to drop the package.
I also let them know they can either have faxbacks or same-day dropoff for shipping but not both. And I charge for faxing anything over 10 pages. Other than for purchases, I can't tell you the last time I had faxbacks -they all opt for same day drop.
IMO meeting the quirky faxback requirements of each individual SS or TC should be a service they're willing to pay for...for me it's not a pro bono service.

When I receive an order with more work then expected, I email back that I need a revised order, with additional fees for the additional work before I can proceed with order. So far no problems. |

Agree. A job offer should be clearly stated without the need for the notary to play 20 questions. They already know what the job is and should concisely tell us what is expected on 'this' order. Anything less is game-playing and an attempt to get more work for as little as possible. Tacky.

I don't like when I get called for an order & then, when I get it, read it & realize they want me to drop off docs & / or fax back, t the price stated. Signing Services, if you are reading this, NEGOTIATE OR REQUEST this WHEN REQUESTING the Order. DO NOT EXPECT This Signing Agent to necessarily go along w/ this unless DISCLOSED UP FRONT!!!!! I do a volume business & dropping off docs & or fax backs I will charge for it. If you choose to not pay me, well I always have this website as a recourse for others to look at.
