Amen to you Carmen! What is up with these companies that feel $50 is a reasonable fee? Unless it was the house next door to me and I could walk to it in less than a minute's time, I would not consider that paltry amount.

People 50.00 for a signing is just way to low. Notaries/signing agents were making this 10 plus years ago. What about your time, wear and tear on your vehicle, etc. The cost of living rises every year yet our fees have not and in alot of cases our fees have been reduced due to a declining real estate market; but the folks giving out the jobs have not seemingly reduced their fees. There is something VERY wrong with this picture.

Hatton has always been good to work with. They don't babysit, paid in a timely manner and have always met my fee.

Does anyone know if Hatton is one who pays their notaries?
I do know that they are very cheap, they want to pay $50 for a closing.
