An Escrow officer works for or with a title company. If you're interested in becoming an escrow officer you might check with some local title companies to find out what they require.

I passed the 123notary certification test, but I don't really want to do solely notarial work forever. I'm looking for the next step in getting into more advanced real estate training. I don't really want to go to school for another four years on top of the six or so I've already been in various universities. One of my friends said that escrow might be a good next step. I'd rather just get the textbooks schools are going to require me to use anyway, read through those, and take some kind of licensing test--that would be a cheaper route, although it wouldn't better my job chances as well as an MBA in real estate.

Kentucky requires among other things passage of all previous pre-license courses, passing the sales associate exam, six hours in an accredited real estate school; and for brokers, two years working as a (sales associate) licensee at least part time, and twenty-one credit hours in an accredited real estate school.
