Well as soon as I hit send, on previous message, right after I had gotten an email from The Notary Spot for low ball fee, and had responded I was available, they called, I quoted my fee, they said they could meet that and sent confirmation over. Wish all my calls were that easy.

I respond if I am available, that is the question the email asks, I just ignore their low ball price and if they call to confirm it, I will set my price at that time, but as of yet, I guess someone responded before I did, because I have never gotten a follow up call from them.

I have only responded to one company that sent an e-mail and they accepted my fee and paid on time. I haven't heard from them in a long time. Those e-mail's that come with a low fee for a long drive are deleted right away. I don't play the game and I don't respond.

I regularly get offers from this company by email stating a fixed fee and telling me that the first notary to accept, gets the signing.
I respond telling them that "I do not respond to mass mailings."
Recently I have added: "I regard these mass mailings the way most notaries do: a contemptible attempt to insinuate the Walmart business model into the signing business. Ditto these "I am going to pay this X." I quote the price and the agency takes it or not."
They tell me that notaries love being low balled like this and thrown into a pit for fight for a low paying signing.
What is your view?
Personally I detest both mass mailings and the "we will pay this $(small dollars)" contacts.
Do you agree? Do you respond as I do? Do you love these mailings?
I would like to know.
