Finally Received payment, but after having to wait 60 days for payment (half that time arm wrestling with the company) and the fact that I was treated so rudely by their rep just because I was unwilling to break my state's notary laws and risk my commission, I won't be doing business with this company again.

NO PAYMENT
REQUESTED ILLEGAL NOTARIZATION

They are ignoring my requests for payment for a non signing on August 15th, 2012. I was hired to preform settlement signing for this company. When I arrived the individual had only one ID and it had a different last name then what was on the documents.

When I contacted the rep from ClientFirst (Andrew Hoffman) to inform him that I could not notarize the documents as they were, he became rude and said this was never an issue before with other notaries. I explained just because other notaries are willing to illegally notarize a document doesn't mean I will. Before I could offer the option of two witness he cut me off and said he would just hire another notary.

I sent an email that same day explaining in detail why I could not legally notarize the documents, making sure to reference pages 8 & 9 of the 2012 California Notary Handbook. I then informed ClientFirst that base on this and the fact that when I confirmed the appointment ahead of time the signer confirmed she had ID in her name, I expected to be compensated for my time and travel which was a modest $50.00. I was told by email that this was no problem. I waited 30 days and received no payment. I followed up, was given some lame excuse and told it would go out that week. Wait two more weeks and nothing. Contacted again, given another lame excuse and was sworn o that my check would go out that week, having the rep confirm my mailing address and everything. Still nothing.

At this point I'm convince they are jerking me around. Spare yourself a headache, don't do business with this company.
