I did a signing on 3/25/2013 and was paid 4/4/2013. They were very friendly and easy to work with, especially Luis. My package was about 100 pages and had to print 2, which was no big deal and my fee was meet. I would work for them again.

Equifax is now SolutionStar, under the umbrella of NationStar Mortgage. This happened in March 2013. As the change was taking place, a couple of my invoices where lost and not paid. After getting in touch with Kelsey and Paul, they were finally paid. They even paid my late fee on the oldest invoices. Now that all or most of the kinks have been worked out, I usually receive payment in 14 - 21 days. The one item you have to watch for is duplicate order numbers. I did a signing in April; it was completed and overnighted back. The borrower later had things changed on her loan and it had to be resigned. Instead of issuing a NEW order # they gave it the same one, so I had to prove I did the 1st one to be paid on it. I couldn’t do the 2nd one.

I wouldn't work for them if they paid me $200 to sign my neighbor. I work a full time job in addition to doing 30-50 signings a month on the side so that puts me at 60-80 hours per week depending on the week and I just don't have time to chase them down, still trying to get paid for a signing from July and one from August. 3.5+ months is not acceptable for a payment time frame. It is impossible to get through to someone, the first time I did they gave me an email address which I emailed and of course got no response, ever since then all I get is voicemail.

I would highly recommend everyone just stop working for companies like this that are total garbage.

There's another larger post on 123 about how terrible Equifax is but basically exactly what you said. Lie about "checks in the mail" and that is if you can actually reach someone to speak too instead of getting full voice mail boxes. Then if you have the audacity to ask where's your payment and why hasn't anyone gotten to you, they consider you a problem then act shock when after weeks of this BS you begin threating collections.

I personally get enjoyment when my good signing companies have Equifax signings for me. Means these jerks were force to pay a middle man a reasonable price instead of suckering some inexperienced notary.

Be carefull about calling them. If you bother them to much, you will become a "problem vender". They have been "working" on billing issues since at least last July. They will expect you to jump for them (90 min notice, 300 pages and 1 hour drive); as I was told by Matt "We will pay you when we pay you". They are doing you a favor by letting you work for them.

I had to wait over 2 months for payment. I contacted them after 30 days and they lied to me stating they are having billing issues but its now worked out. They lie and state a check is on the way. I will never close for them again.
