I have done a few reverse mortgage signings for Premier Title & Escrow out of Rhode Island. It's alot of paperwork so I charge more for these. They usually pay in about 7-9 days as long as you forward your invoice.

I have not been paid in over 45 days. They keep making excuses regarding not receiving my invoice, which I then prove that I have in fact provided them my invoice several times already. They then make false promises stating that my request will be sent to their funding ASAP so payment can be sent out right away, which I then wait several business days and still receive nothing.

I recommend avoiding this company due to late/no payment.

Those applications most times, IME, take longer than the actual closing - not only do you sometimes have slower signers but you have to wait for them to dust off the documents you need to send back.

RM Application for me - $100-$125 depending on travel, RM final closing $150-$160 depending on travel - no faxbacks on any of it...that's my fee schedule.

I got a call earlier asking if I could do an application for a reverse mortgage. I was told they pay $75, there were 100 pages in the package & I needed to print a copy for the borrower too. I informed my fee would be much higher to print 200 pages, ink, paper, gas & travel. They said the only reason their fee was $75 is because they use the same Notary to do the actual reverse closing & for that they only pay $125. Notaries who have done reverse closings know how lengthy the packages are but I charge. I turned it down because they could not pay me what I asked for to meet with their borrower for the application & the reverse closing! In the past title companies was always willing to pay due to it being a large package & 2 sets needed to be printed!
