U.S. Certified/Michael...........LOST the case. This is a win for ALL notaries. Do not fear the SS...If you are not being paid..take it to the top. Find out who the CEO of the Title Company...not the local escrow officer (who may be in with the SS) and tell them you're not being paid. They don't want to hear that because it raises their insurance and bond cost. The will fire the SS.

And that notary liability list, the judge is probably still laughing.

Take a chance EVERY chance you get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yahoo!

Hey James, the best of luck to you! I know that many of us are anxious to hear the end result of this situation. If I were located near you, I would certainly attend and sit in your corner. But alas, I am 3000 miles away. Again, best wishes for you!

I find it strange these comments are being made now, two weeks before our trial date. This great company who got paid for work I did is suing me for $10,000 dollars (no they still haven't paid me). Please come to the trial and listen to them explain to the judge why they would refuse to pay me then sue me. I am not intimidated by them at all. See you 3/11

I have completed dozens of signings for Michael and Stephen. They are always kind, professional and they get docs to me right away. They pay me a little less than working directly with escrow companies but they make it up in volume. They by no means low ball me. I turn away signings that offer me less than my bottom line. They are also available late night if my borrower has any issue. I have NEVER received a voice mail. These guys work with integrity!

I can honestly say they pay me usually within two to three weeks and if they ask me for a last minute "favor" or need me to go back for added docs (which is rare) they have always watched out for my best interest and offered additional compensation that showed me they are balancing my best interest and theirs! They are my favorites to work with!!!

They were not going to pay me unless I signed their Notary Agreement, because I lined out what I didn't agree with. I agree with this post below...

..Unprofessional, belittling in character and refusing to pay me (for two signings) because I refused to sign their Notary agreement. I did the jobs, they got paid, I didn't.

From the post I see, most people think they are a great company to work for. Agreeing to take full responsibility for a lawsuit against THEM is just plain stupid. I understand why seasoned, professional notaries generally do not accept assignments requiring you to sign "Notary agreement". If you're willing to shoulder complete responsibility for lawsuits against SS you are making a grave mistake.

Empathy for borrowers has no place when it comes to dealing with SS. Read those agreements people. Thanks to those peers who added their advise and support.

U.S. Certified Signers have been unethical in their business practices and disrespectful of me and my time as a Notary Signing Agent in having another associate of theirs, Steven, call up another Notary Signing Agent to accept their "set fee" on a loan signing assignment at the same time as Michael of U.S. Certified Signers was still on the phone with me and in the process of negotiating my Notary Signing Agent fee on that same assignment. Michael had then called me back ("to be nice", as he had put it) in order to waste more of my and his time to "vent" to me about how they have "set fees" and how U.S. Certified Signers will no longer ever negotiate their fees with Notary Signing Agents or accept Notary Signing Agent fees, only giving their assignments to those Notaries that accept their lowball "set" fee right off the bat. While speaking with Michael, it has further become very obvious to me that Michael, Steven and U.S. Certified Signers have absolutely no respect for the professional services that Notary Signing Agents provide, not for their time, feeling that it is o.k. to treat Notary Signing Agents like tools with no feelings rather than like live people.

Beware of this company and their NSA handling practices.
