This is the point where I play nasty with companies like this and pull out all the stops. By the two month mark I would have contacted the title company and discussed the issue with them. Tell them you are calling to check status on the file, as you have not received payment for your services. Ask them if they are still using this signing service? Ask for their assistance in contacting the signing service regarding your payment.

Since it's just about 3 months with no pay and Sunset has repeatedly ignored your contact attempts, I think I would take the step of completing the small claims paperwork with a date one week in the future, and name the signing service owner, scheduler, whatever, and fax it to the signing service with a note that you will be filing on XX date for the amount of the invoice plus court costs. Other notaries have reported that they also name the title company on the filing (you should be able to look up the TC owner on the Sec of State website) and any broker that may be involved, then fax it to the TC and broker. This will result in a flurry of angry contact to signing service from TC and Broker, asking SS what is going and and telling them to get this issue resolved PRONTO.

Of course SS will be mad at you but who cares? You will not be accepting work from them in the future anyway.

Try doing a search on this website for "small claims" and you'll get some additional info.

On this forum is a collection letter template. Send it to the SS by certified mail, regular mail, fax and email. Others have reported great success from utilizing it. Let us all know how it turns out.

I did a signing for these people in June and still have not been paid for it. I've emailed at least 10 times to the accounting dept. and called and left several messages (they don't answer their phone, only can leave messages).
