I have to say, so far so good working with this company. Very friendly and communicative and I do feel that they can be fair and can be negotiated with. Payment on time. Yeah, I only get structured settlement stuff from them, but so far they've only sent me 5 mins from my house so I've accepted both jobs they've offered. I will post follow-ups as I seem to be getting calls from them. I personally can't see any reason to not recommend them at this point.

About a 30 minute driving time difference. She did approve an additional fee for it but wasn't happy about it. I left at 415 and part of the way there, I keyed it into my GPS. The address didn't come up so I called the client. Who it turns out was NOT going to be there...and had told them that. He was going to be across town in another direction. So I changed directions and said I would meet him at 5. He couldn't meet me until 530. I called and advised them of this and they said they would adjust my fee another $10. I met him only to find out he did not have the documents. I was told he had them. He was told I had them. So I had to return home, print two sets of documents and then meet him somewhere else (he had promised the girlfriend a shopping trip). The company who hired Kelleys told me they would approve whatever I charged and to let them know that. So I redid my invoice. They won't accept it. The original client says one thing... Kelleys said another. I ended up saying "Happy New Year" and not fighting over it and I hope I didn't burn my bridges but I am a bit frustrated. I do hope they pay quickly.

And this is a prime example of what can happen in those situations where the company instructs the notary NOT to contact the borrower in advance. This was a nightmare!! Didn't you talk to the client before you left? To confirm place, time, availability, names, copies of ID, etc., etc...You could have avoided a whole lot of your aggravation if you'd contacted the borrower in advance. There's an awful lot of wasted time here due simply to lack of communication.

Also, with regard to this statement..."The company who hired Kelleys told me they would approve whatever I charged and to let them know that. So I redid my invoice. They won't accept it." - I'd be dealing strictly with the party that agreed to pay you extra all the way around....

And isn't SC an attorney-only state? How do you do loan signings in an attorney-only state? I don't get it...

TRG - Convinient Closing NJ. Yes they are still in business, and they are very professional. I have worked with Kim Kessler and Andrew and they are both great. Awesome customer services, and very attentive to your needs. I just did a signing for them about a month ago...and they paid within 5 days. Highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Kelley's Mobile Notary Service. Their website is: http://www.kelleysmobilenotary.com/. I get paid in a timely matter (before the 30 days I allow), and she is very good with communicating with you. Let her know that I sent you her way.
