Service Link is one of my best clients. Pays well and fast, usually within 15 days or so.
I have done a couple for National Link and also got paid about the same time.

I agree, the entire Service Link "system" is wonky, but they're my good bread and butter!

Prompt, secure professional signings.

National Link claims to be a separate company but I have reason to believe that they are full of it. I have worked for both companies and attended seminars conducted on behalf of Service Link. National Link pays a little bit more than the standard fee offered by ServiceLink. I can share with you that ServiceLink has a certain proclivity to enact a new process then think about it later. If you want the new number to fax billings to (National Link), it is: 1.866.313.5918. After all of that; how much does ServiceLink pay for closings on the East coast?

I had 2 jobs lined up for Saturday 2/23 - Both jobs fell through the crack! One was with National Link - of which I never heard a word about getting docs nor did they bother to keep me informed! Very frustrating indeed!!!

I've worked with National Link and Service Link before w/o any problems and everything seemed to run smooth.

Maybe this Saturday was just a fluke? I know I was in overwhelm just from the week before trying to get in as many jobs as I could handle and then some!!! What a crazy Friday 2/22!!! Are rates going up that fast that everyone has to get their loan signed on the same day???

Nationlink called and booked us at last minute for a late Friday afternoon closing. Sent them a W9 and confirmation of terms, conditions and fees. Received email confirmation.

At closing problems arose and their staff left early for day and could not take phone calls. Waited 3 hours extra and completed closing without guidance. Upon return to office found new instructions in my email requiring scan, email pdf, and faxback all before midnight day of closing! Closing did not even finish until 10pm! Also required Courier but UPS would not accept their shipping label on Saturday and we had to pay out of pocket to send Fedex for Monday delivery.

No acknowledgement or response to billing since. Now waiting 60+ days for payment. Now they produce a special form a "monthly" billing statement? For a single closing from February? Now they sent a message to our auditor that payment was mailed 10 days ago. No payment received but discovered they only authorized payment for the notary fee, no fax, no scan, no mileage and no courier fees even though the instructions confirm the above.

Auditor is assessing costs and fees and may file case for abuse of notarial process and seek treble damages in court. There were NO problems with closing docs on our part.

Stay away from Nationlink and Servicelink. Nationlink hires you but then claims Servicelink has to pay you but they have no knowledge of your existence.

Save yourself time and money, do not sign for them!

I just completed a closing for National Link last night. Scheduler was very friendly and met my fee and agreed to my fax back charge. I didn't realize they were connected to Service Link. Keeping my fingers crossed now that I get paid.

National Link did away with print fees and then sent me a package 177 pages long to print. I told them that is excessive when I am being paid the print fee let alone not! Totally ridiculous!

Both Service Link and National Link provide statements for the notary to complete for submission and consideration of payment. They ask that you submit it on the first of the month following closing(s) done for them. Payment used to be made within about ten days, but noticed the payment time has increased until about the 20th.

As they tend to search for the lowest cost notary in an area, most folks will likely not have much business with them. However, they may call from time to time for an assignment when the "low ballers" are not available to help. For those times, they may meet your fee, but it usually requires "approval." I only close about three or four a year for the two companies as they have a few folks locally that accept substanially less for overnight docs.

National Link is a sister company to Service Link, both in Aliquippa, PA.
