I would like to say something here about all of this. I did it because when I found out about the 5 limit thing and people responded with - your making to much of this. It's not a big deal all they have to do is register or talk to Harry or whatever. I understood all of that. That was not my problem. What I believe is that a lot of those guys did not understand or missed the point that I was primarily concerned with someone happening upon the site, not understanding the deal and becoming frustrated and moving on to another site (would that be so bad. JUST KIDDING!!!) I want them to find me there too.

Obviously you all know that it spiraled into a war and I feel my point was lost in favor of a good argument.

I myself ABSOLUTELY enjoy NR. It's great. After 2.5 years doing this, I realize the benefit of both sites and their necessity. And what's even funnier is I only have a free listing.

It affected me more when I was called by "people" who have been aware of this and viewed it as a problem. I now know people who pay to be on NR who also were unaware of this and were also very disturbed as was I. I think it was a good idea to bring it out again because look at the result. Harry is making improvements and THATS ALL ANYONE WANTED. (Not shouting just stressing the point)

The war between me and you know who was ridiculous!! I don't think I really started it because he took something from my own profile and used it against me. I did ask him to move on but he wouldn't. I was shocked and so I retaliated. (the only way I know how) Some agreed and some thought I'm a lunatic. Be that as it may, I'm satisfied that in the end my goal was accomplished, and that was to motivate Harry. Thank You Harry! I will always stick up for what I think is right and I hope you guys here understand why I did it.

PS Numbers are the best

I read the post and would venture to say that the problem you mention is the least of your worries over there.
I've had difficulty with my listing, sent emails which were not responded to and decided recently not to throw good money after bad-I won't renew over there for alot of reasons.

I read the thread on NR and I am confident that Harry will solve both of the problems. The restrictions may cause only a small decrease in searches since most of his regular browsers are registered. He is correct in stating that contacting the notaries who are often unresponsive is costly, time consuming, and often unrewarding. I know because I spent hours a month calling people who are often hard to reach. I guess I am used to this type of labor since I have been doing it for a long time so I don't notice it anymore.

Vince,

I agree with you and that is why I would not post what was said. If people want to know they can go to that site and look.

This forum has help me with lots of things and I am thankful that Jeremy has made such a good site with wonderful members.

Rhonda has an excellent point. It looks as though both Harry and Jeremy share a mutual respect. Each has successfully tried to develop a site that meets members particular needs/issues with somewhat different members and concepts. Why not continue to encourage each to enhance the services available in somewhat different directions and consider thanking them when wise decisions are made along the way. Another notary website has the attitude of “what is discussed on there needs to stay there” and cut and paste jobs are not lightly looked on. The same may be said for ideas. Perhaps the same “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” attitude should belong on all notary sites.

This topic does not belong on this site. If you have a problem with another site, deal with it there, don't stir up emotions on another site.

The owner of Notary Rotary has posted about this issue. I will not repeat it here though.

I like both sites and have registered on both them.
