If you forgot about loan signing, try purchasing a loan signing course that you can review. http://www.123notary.com/loansign.htm has many choices of loan signing courses. If you can find a notary to tag along with for a few signings, that could give you a taste of hands on work too. I don't know of any live classes but there could be some. Be careful as I haven't heard good things about any live classes anywhere in the USA so far so I recommend getting an actual book. If you have a specific question, please ask it in the "ask carmen" section of this forum. Carmen will be checking it every day.

I would also recommend the National Notary Association's Certified Notary Signing Agent Course. You can take the course on-line. The textbook is excellent. I read the first half of the text one day, the second half of the text the second day and took the test on-line the third day. The text really goes in-depth and I found it to be an invaluable resource. You can contact the National Notary Association.

Have you taken Jeremy's 123notary course? You will find great inforamtion in there. The first half of his test makes a great cheat sheet when you are on signings.

I find that once my notaries complete their first signing alone, it tends to all come back. Much of the problem they had was a case of nerves. I ask them to call me from the signing if they have questions that cannot be answered. It is not always easy to remember everything you learned as there are so many different kinds of paperwork in this industry. Do you have someone that you can call during a signing if you have questions? Email me and I will give you my cell phone number so you can call me. I am in a different state but the procedures are pretty much the same.

Hi there........I am brand new...very new. Just got my commision and want to jump right in. Problem is I've gone blank and seem to have forgotten everything I learned in my loan signing class. Is there a book or a site or a mentoring program anyone knows about that I can use as a resource? I haven't gone on a signings yet but was wondering if there was a program out there somewhere in the LA area where I could accompany someone on just one signing so I can stop being so nervous about this? Help please.
