We just took an assignment with Precision Closing Services, and we are wondering if anyone has had any recent business with them?

A number of companies claim to be filing bankruptcy, but then they don't.

The reality is that out-of-state skirmishes are a lose-lose proposition that seldom justify the expenditure of financial resources.

The result will be that the vendor benefits and you will have performed services without compensation.

Other than filing a complaint on notary message boards or with the Better Business Bureau, state and federal agencies (which will probably do nothing) there is seldom more that you can do--except pound your head against the wall!

Well, saying and doing are two different things....they may have told you that just so you'd feel lucky to get what you got and not dun them for more...just don't spend that money just in case.

Veronica, how do you know they're filing bankruptcy? If they are you might want to put that money aside because any payments made to creditors within a certain amount of time before the filing (can't remember if it's 90 or 120 days) makes them a preferred creditor and the money may have to be returned..secured creditors are paid first and unsecured creditors go to the back of the line.

Good Luck!!
