the docs are to be returned to a company named MIS/Tampa, in Tampa. DCI is in Orange City, Fl. The guy's name that owns the company is Alex. I hadn't thought about contacting the Title company. Great idea. Thanks!

Warning accepted. They go on my No-No list. Is there more to the name than DCI? Document ???? something, something??
Anyway, do call the Title Co. & let them know this co. does not pay.
This tactic might get you paid, but, at the very least, often Title will stop working with a deadbeat SS.

I was a brand new notary at the time, but yes, you are right. I just wanted to warn others about this company.

Well, your first mistake was to continue to accept signings when you hadn't been paid for previous ones. This is a business--set a credit limit with new co's to what you can afford to lose--because you just might, as you have discovered. Call the Title Co. & let them know that this co. does not pay the notary.

I accepted many signings for this company starting last October. I had to ask them to pay me after 4 months, and I continued to do signings for them. In February 2007, I received a check, and they had cut 2 of my fees due to cancellation. This was not in our agreement. When I called their bookkeeper she sent me a response as to why they cut my fee and an offer of $10.00, and a scripture. When I responded that I wanted my money they stopped calling me, and haven't paid me for the 2 January signings I did for them, and wont return my calls. My mother is having similar problems with them.
Do not do signings for this company!
