I have worked for Certified Document solutions a number of times, never had any issues with them, they were professional and paid in a reasonable time. |

Yes, Jeremy, I did three for them in the month of June. Actually, they were all foreclosures. The pay was decent, and the people were very nice to work with. Here's the kicker though. When I received the third request in June, I faxed over my two invoices for the first two that I had done in the beginning of June. My invoices all have the NOTICE on the bottom which was recommended by Notary, Kenneth Edelstein which states:
NOTICE: I have faxed you and invoiced your company per your instructions and must remind you of the following: I am a sworn public official from the State of Florida. When a fraud is perpetrated in the course of my official duties, I feel obligated to take the following actions:
a. Notify the Attorney General of the details and circumstances of the occurrence b. Notify the Secretary of State of (Your State) to look into the matter of whether the Lender/Title Company should maintain their license to do business in the state and will supply all details c. Notify other Notaries Public of the details of nonpayment d. Contact the Lender/Title Company e. Register the details of the occurrence with the BBB f. Contact the borrower
The above actions as outlined above will commence on the first day of the following MONTH if our office does not receive payment before that date. Please send payment to Mancino Enterprise, LLC.
I have had this NOTICE on my invoices for over two years and have never had a question or complaint about it.
Back to Certified Document Solutions, I faxed my invoices and received payment within the week along with a strange note which said, "Please find payment enclosed for all past assignments with Certified Document Solutions. Due to the nature of the enclosed faxes, we will no longer be able to utilize your services going forward. Thank you for your assistance on these past assignments and we wish you good fortunes in the future." Signed with an illegible signature and no printed name.
This morning I called them and finally got a man named Michael on the phone. I gave him my name and the information on the letter. He then told me that they could not use me because of the information on my invoices. I told him that although his company may be reputable, there are companies that do not pay Notaries, and this was one way to protect us from nonpayments. He wouldn’t hear it, and that was the end of it.
My feelings are this: It’s ok for companies to put all their stipulations and protections on their end, but the Notary must not do anything to protect him/herself.
Hope this helps.
