yes, I've had it happen. I e mail back and tell them I will not be confirming, printing ,or doing the appointment unless it gets corrected and re sent to me. That works.

I have worked out a way to get the "1 star' or 'no pay signing agencies' to send me business they pay for. These people have bad reputations on the list: you can help them AND get paid.
I think I can help increase your work. I have ample work because I have a notary/banker with 15 years experience helping me. There are three things that are working well now. I'll help you IF you refer any you cannot do that are close to me.
Reply privately to me and we can communicate. Please include how I can find you on this web site . Are you on all 3 : Notary Rotary, Notary 123, Notary Cafe? Which are you on and is it a free membership or paid?

OT, but one thing that does annoy me is a co. that merely provides a link to the order. You can see a 'statement of fee', but when you print the order, the fee does NOT show so you have nothing in writing showing what your fee is. I haven't experienced a problem yet, but the potential exists!

If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.

If you can see it on screen do a screen print. Keep the screen print with the order.

The last one I received I emailed back that I did not appreciate their changing the agreed upon fee and if they wanted to pay me that much they could do the signing themselves. I received an updated co with the correct fee.

I get confirmations from time to time that have no price listed on them. I just respond with an email that says "Please respond to this email confirming that our agreed to price is $125" They always respond and now you have it in writing.

The only hope here is to have a correct, written confirmation. Happily, I collect most documents directly from escrow.

Have you ever had a situation where a company offers you $125, and then when you get the confirmation the price has dropped to $100 or $75? How do you handle this?

If it were me, I would have checked their reputation before accepting the signing. I might give them a single chance to remedy the situation if they had a clean track record.
