Hello Tyler,

Unfortunately, I was not sent the full amount for a print/trip fee agreed upon with the vice president of the company. The person who contacted me for the signing intervened, and stated I was lucky to get the amount I received because she runs the department. The person in the accounting department played along with it too. I have not spoken to the vice president yet, and will be contacting her the next day.

Is the address below the same company you had payment issues with too? Who was your contact person for payment? What legal action did you threaten them with?

NLS of Ohio - Multistate
3700 Corporate Drive, Ste 200
Columbus, OH 43231
(614) 839-3848

Please feel free to email me at your earliest convenience! Your immediate response is greatly appreciated!

As of Saturday, 5-25-13 I received another check in the mail. It was short $10.

UPDATE

EDIT 12/31/12: I was finally paid after threating legal action. Check was sent next day FedEx.

I have still not been paid for my services and as a result have threaten collections and legal action.

So far every time I have made any inquiry regarding my payment I been given different excuses on why payment has not been sent.

1) First it was due to not have a copy of my W-9 on file, which I did already provide at completion of the signing. I provided it again and was told payment would be sent immediately.

2) I waited more than a week before following up. I was then told NLS's accounting system had crashed which resulted in late payments for many notaries (never once did I receive any email regarding this), they then apologize for the delay and assured me that my payment would be sent out the next day. I was also told the head of accounting would contact me regarding the issue, but he/she never did.

I waited another week+ and still no payment.

At this time I feel they are just jerking me around. Between this and the fact they were dishonest regarding the amount of signers to begin with I feel this company is completely dishonest and notaries should beware.

*I've notice there are several companies with very similar names. Please note that this is the one based out of Ohio.

Company contacted me for a signing back in October. Was told it was a seller's package for two signers. When I arrive at the actual signing there were FOUR signers. I confirmed with the individuals that they were told a Notary would be signing all four of them. When I tried to contact Nations Title regarding the situation no one was available to take my calls. I completed the signing but charge them an additional but reasonable fee for the misrepresentation of the signing details. Once they confirmed that they would pay the fee I FedEx the documents.

I have yet to receive payment for my services nearly 60 days later. When I contacted Nations Title earlier this week they told me they never received an invoice (even though I did send one at the time of the signing, nor did they ever contact me regarding this issue).

I feel this is a dishonest company that should be avoided.
