I have done a few signings with them and have gotten paid within 45 Days. Include your invoice with the packet.

They only use me when no one else is available due to my fee.

Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for posting.. Without feedback from other Notaries, I may have accepted a closing from this company. I have never worked for them before and they called asking for a Last Day appt.. I accepted before researching. After I read your posts on here I quickly sent an Email to Express Not and stated that I have a "Pre-Pay" policy for companies with Less then a "Good" Reputation.. I have not heard back as of yet. But I will reply to this post once I hear back.. Again, Thank You!!

"Florida has long had an administrative (law) rule for real estate transactions that payment to licensed professionals is to be made within 7-10 days of closing or funding date, if date delayed. This has typically been applied to Real Estate and Mortgage licensees but is now being applied to Notaries according to our auditor."

Chris - do you have the legal citation where this applies to notaries now too? Legal citation would be invaluable to Florida notaries fighting to get paid.

Express Notary called and offered our sister notary company a 125 page refi e-doc less than 2 hours before scheduled closing. Wanted 2 copies and required FEDEX out tonight for $50 plus $25 for edocs. No mileage. NO FEDEX this area after 6PM anyhow. Latest drop at airport at 8pm 50 miles round-trip from signing location - Impossible.

Promised to pay on 25-30 days on 2x month check issuance so maybe we would get $75 around Thanksgiving? Maybe!

Signing declined.

Do the signing agencies on the west coast think the east coast is insane? Do signing agents in California really wait 45-90 days for $75 payment with your gas prices?

Florida has long had an administrative (law) rule for real estate transactions that payment to licensed professionals is to be made within 7-10 days of closing or funding date, if date delayed. This has typically been applied to Real Estate and Mortgage licensees but is now being applied to Notaries according to our auditor.

Florida notary or signing companies expect to be paid on closing or within 5-7 days after funding (max) along with the RE professionals.

Chris

I just did a closing for them 2 days ago...It was originally scheduled to sign "open time for Saturday" and then I had no luck contacting the borrowers. I finally get a call Monday, the borrowers had been out of town. We got together to sign on Monday morning at 9:30, but as we got into the large package the borrowers found their interest rate was 4.25 instead of 4.125. After 3 hours of round and round with their loan officer they finally signed! I tried to leave twice, but the borrwers insisted I stay until they could decide. I called EXP and asked if they could increase my fee....they said they would contact title and get back to me. Not a word since, despite my emails. :(

Has anyone had any (good or bad) experience with Express Notary in Irvine in relation to disrespect or a bad attitude during what should be a productive conversation regarding a signing appointment! Or, no assistance during after hours... And, they want to contract with you to pay peanuts, no water!!! However, they do timely pay my invoices.
