I just recently had my first signing experience with Mortgage Connect, and communication with them even after they requested something extra was difficult. Then they requested that I take a test to be a Certified Signing Agent with them. The 25 question test they put together is basic but flawed in many ways. The test maker seems not to have researched the answers to questions asked and reaks of errors.
I am on the verge of dis connect with them because I sense a waste of time and ultimate fees.

I do none of these things, that is why I am a CSA and will never be despirate enough to do that nonsense.

Apparently I am not alone.

I did a closing for this company on February 28, 2102. I was paid my fee that I requested with no issues, however their "please submit an invoice for this closing" fine print on the confirmation was hard to see, so I didn't submit my invoice until after I called regarding payment. I faxed the invoice over on 4/6/2012, and have yet to receive payment. Hopefully I'll get a check at the end of the month!

Depending on where you are, they will "adjust" fees if they can not find someone. I've done one job for them and since they could not find anyone for base fee of $70, they paid a "trip fee" of $30 on top. 3 hours after I printed docs and just before I was leaving, I was called and informed that the lender dropped an updated packeage and I needed to reprint a new set. So I got a print "fee" of $20 on top of everything. I am sure that this is one time deal. I am sure they are looking for someone that will do everything for $70 and I may never hear from them again. When offered low ball, I just ask if they bought gas lately. It puts them in our shoes and they don't have a good comeback. This works well if called from Calif.

Yes, they are cheap, do not want to pay anything even remotely rational.

Glad to hear you got some work. Was contacted a couple days ago and was both stunned and annoyed by the info required and the 'method of collection'. Fill out multiple forms with info and then fax proof of same, too. Sorta silly. One or the other, but not both.

I thought the same thing when I first signed up with them but it has paid off tremendously. They give me the most volume of work per month. The pay is not the highest but they are willing to negotiate for higher fees when necessary for purchases, extra mileage, etc. The only drawback is faxbacks. Otherwise they pay on time and staff is very professional and helpful.
