Ok, I figured out how to like the post, but I can't seem to figure out how to rate companies. I can look them up and see their ratings, but I can't add to it. |

This is very true. I think that notaries pay attention when something is wrong. If a company is good, they have less to save. A few notaries want to keep it a secret that a company is good, so that the other notaries don't jump on board and take away all of their business. I have heard many stories about this topic.
Incidentally, you can rate forum topics too. A few of the topics are really interesting, and you can "like" them. I just "liked" this string because it's important.

I had a couple good services ask me to rate them on this site, which I will do. Looking at ratings of Signing Services, on this and other sites, it struck me that we can be our own worst enemies by not rating the great companies we work for. It is good to give a bad comment to a horrible company but most of us work for dozens of fantastic companies and we do not take a moment to give them a great rating, even though this is probably more important.
Example - One great company could have had one misunderstanding with a NSA (happens to the best of them) and they are given 1 star. Out of the hundreds of Notaries that love this company, maybe one bothers to take time to rate them. Despite the 5 stars he gives the company, they have a 2.5 star average!
If we make sure and give great ratings to all of our favorite companies (while still giving bad ratings where deserved), we accomplish two things. First, we will ensure the low paying, ill communicating, disrespecting signing services will be the architects of their own demise. Secondly, all of our favorite clients (that you have taken a moment to rate!) will pick up the business lost from the defunct companies.
We can do ourselves a favor by giving just as much of our time and energy lifting up the great companies out there as we do making others aware of the bad ones. Now take a moment to change the Tide!

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.
Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more.
If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.
