I contacted the CEO who arranged for me to be paid in full. Sometimes that's what it takes. Unsure what caused the delay since July.
Sincerely yours,

I noticed on their FB page they have slick new logos and offices yet still haven't paid me for a 7/28/12 past due invoice.

I've been waiting since late July for payment and was given some excuse of a redraw a month ago that I would have a check issued mid-September. Their rep just confirmed Point Break isn't paying me and she's trying to get a check cut directly from escrow.
Dear _____:
Point Break did not issue a check as they were supposed to, so I have the broker's office working on getting you a check.
Apparently Jessica Johnson isn't in on the rip off a notary scam with Point Break but I doubt I'll ever get paid.
Sincerely yours,

They apparently have moved to
151 Kalmus Dr. Costa Mesa, CA 92626 .
Their contact page doesn't provide any email or fax and they apparently try to hide their address from the Google search engine by placing a JPEG map of their address.

This escrow company uses an intermediary person named Jessica Johnson who has the title of "AMC-Processor" in her emails. It seems she's an independent agency person. In my case, she sent an email responding to my inquiry of a 7/28/12 past due invoice claiming it was a redraw and would be closed and paid out on September 15. Here it is October and I haven't received anything yet.
I have just sent another email and will get back to report when and if I ever get paid. Other information is I was asked to pick up the docs from another loan signing agent who cancelled on them as well. I presumed the agent had a good relationship with them but it turns out she had never worked with them before.
You know what happens when you presume things. I usually run database checks on this forum and wish I would have seen this post but at that time nothing was up about Point Break Escrow anyway. It seems to be a pattern, and we need more reports on them.
I've never had this late a payment to date, and lack of regard for paying me to this degree ever.
Small Claims Court is a waste of time and money. Report them to the Better Business Bureau, that will get their attention real fast!

DO NOT WORK FOR POINT BREAK ESCROW!!!
I did a loan closing for them. They did not pay me for a portion of the work (shorted $70.00). Claimed they "forgot" to include my all my fee's on the Hud1, and Federal law prohibits them from returning to the borrower to collect additional fees. Rather than paying me from their own funds for their error, they have told me I will have to collect it from the borrower. The borrower and I had no agreement on fee's for my services, that was direct with the escrow company.
Guess it's small claims court. I don't want to be an *$^! over the situation, but I'm really considering including the borrower who lives 100+ miles away (but was in the area for the closing) as a co-defendant, just to bring more ill will on the escrow company for dragging them into it.

This little trick of not funding our fees in the HUD1 seems to be a pattern, never work for any escrow company that doesn't make the borrower pay for our fees because that means they have no real intention likely of paying us whatsoever. I had this done to me a few times from Title Resource Group for really wealthy people, $17 million mansion, etc. They claimed they had to fork out my $100 out of their pocket and initially only offered me $85. It's class warfare and a means for them to claim they need to undercut our fees. It's a strategy, not an oversight, since they have no other excuse to short our fees.
It's a tactic, not an oversight, and it's all because of greed. Don't forget it.
