Lee: I got on this forum to get suggestions for a brand of printer that prints letter and legal. My brother hl5050lt will not do it. I have been round and round with brother and adobe and they blame each other. I do not think it can. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and adobe but to no avail. I am going to buy a new printer...not brother.

Linda, you're awesome!!

I tried doing what you said and I couldn't get it to work.

so I got the installation CD and threw it at my husband and told him to uninstall and reinstall before I totally broke down.

It's up and running RIGHT!!!! He did it!!! Husbands are good for some things

Okay..good luck...but just remember...this is just what I would do - in the likely event it didn't work, the next step would be for me to throw my hands up in the air, yell "I quit!" point at printer and tell my husband "fix it"...smiling sweetly all the while...

Heh..if I'm gonna be wrong I might as well be wrong on all the websites...LOL...just in case you don't get back there, try this:

Start....control panel....printers...highlight your printer...

Left side "Set Printer Properties" choose "Advanced"- install the trays and select paper size.

Back to General - Printing Preferences - Paper/Quality - make sure it's on Auto-Select.

Good Luck.

I just purchased a HP LaserJet P2055dn - I bought the additional tray. Salesman said that I could print legal and copy sized - that it would automatically pick tray 2 for copy and tray 3 for legal (tray 1 is the manual feed tray).

Ok, it doesn't. I've gone all through printer properties. I'm lost. I've searched the internet to no avail.

Can you tell me how to set this up?

or

Can you tell me what search terms I should use?

Thanks so much in advance!!
