To add on to that, with many companies you can simply sign up with them on their website.

You're right Brian. For many years, most of my clients were located outside of my state of VA. They do not have an office in VA so they must use a mobile notary that is located near their borrower client.
The last year or so, I've picked up several TC clients that are located within my state, but far enough away that it's not feasible for their employees to go and do the closings in my area themselves. The NotaryRotary site has a great list of companies under their Signing Central tab.
Whatever company you work for, do a search about them on this site and also on NotaryRotary, because you must be very careful who you accept work from. There are some deadbeat companies out there that do not pay, and if you find that you have accepted a job from one of those companies, you should give the job back to them ASAP.

Yes i'm seeing now that many title companies on the list are in other states but do nation wide services. So i should look at all title companies offering notary services not just specifically ones in my area correct? This is certainly enlightening

Many Title Companies do not use non-employee notaries...and they simply won't have a clue what you're talking about. However, a few may be interested in knowing you're around when they have an high volume day. As a mobile notary signing agent, tho', your primary clients are not local Title companies.

Okay new question now... How should one approach the title companies when face to face or by email? I haven't had any calls so I'm curious if if i'm not properly introducing or presenting my self. I wear a suite and tie im professional and confident. What am I missing i've gotta be missing something...

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.
Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more.
