If the letter referenced above does not do the trick and you end up having to file on the companies you might consider filing under the Theft of Services code or statutes. In Texas the section of the Penal Code is - Section 31.04. Theft of Service. This is for the criminal side, for the civil side, small claims court might have to be engaged.

Not getting paid? There are many easy things you can do.
(1) Keep all of your work orders. Organize them somehow, perhaps by company.
(2) Send weekly bills to the companies who owe you money. Keep the check stubs from incoming checks and keep very accurate records of who paid for what and when.
(3) After 30 days, start making phone calls asking, "Where's my money?"
(4) If all else fails, use the template of our demand letter. Its scary and it works 95%+ of the time. Click on the link below to find the letter.
