I have not received payment from this company on a completed job. It has been a year. I just black listed them.

Update on East Coast Settlement. They mailed a check to the Title Company on April 27th. After many calls and a threat to contact the lender and place a lien on the clients property, I received a call back. I was finally paid in mid June. This was 4 months later. I don't know if this was a fluke or not. Haven't found anything else on them. I would be careful.

I've done several for this company and have had no problem with them. They have paid right when they said they'd pay (a little sooner actually)four to six weeks.

Watch out for this one. I have been trying to get paid since February. Usually this would be common, but there were too many red flags. I had to rent a room at a Title Company for this and they said they would overnight the rental fee to me. It did not arrive. When I called them they became very rude and said that they were going to pay the Title Company themselves immediately. I have been in contact with the Title Company and they have not received payment. They are also going to refuse any courtesy signings that involve East Coast Settlement. I finally received a check yesterday. Our agreed fee, considering distance and last minute call was $150. I received a check for $90, and the Title Company was not paid. I am going to pay the Title Company myself and that leaves $40. From what I have heard this is not the first time this company has done this sort of thing to a Notary. I kept all information on this account and plan to contact the lender. In the meantime, watch out for this one.
