A title company that takes 45 days to pay? Why not within a week of funding (letting disbursement to them clear their account) - no reason a title company needs this much time to pay, so I'd hesitate to say they're "turning it around".

Caveat: never worked for them.

Atlas Title may be turning around. I did a closing for them on October 9th and received my check today, November 22nd.

I gave them a reminder phone call on Wednesday, Nov 20th. I spoke with Agnes. She w very nice and said she'd mail my check out right away. Obviously, she did.

I've never worked for them before, so I only know what I've read on the forum. Maybe things have changed there.

Do not work for this company! If the President, Greg, is never in (and I've called at all different times over many months with an excuse each time) and the accounting person Agnes never returns messages, it tells you a lot about the company.

Similar situation, lack of communication. I accepted a signing. received docs, received a second email that there may be an additional docs. I emailed back when nothing was received and had no response. They did call and tell me to hold since the wife may not make it since she didn't know she had to be there. When I got a call to go ahead I printed what I had and sent an email about the other doc, no response. This was on 2/18. on 2/22 I receive en email stating I didn't have a doc signed and they sent it separate. I assured them there was no attachment or additional email was received. They have argued and argued. I stated lets solve this and I would only charge a 15 return fee and them to provide shipping. They say they are having to have someone else do it and charge me. They still will no respond as to why they didn't answer my email about the additional doc. I believe since I offered a solution to what was a "COMMUNICATION" problem, they have so right to back charge me and I can prove no attachment at time of last email on 2/18 from them. They have been very difficult and unprofessional. As many times as I can say it, they sent no attachment to the email and the email states it may come later, plus the did not respond to my inquiry regarding any additional doc.

I completed a signing for this company on Feb 9 2012, I followed the instructions to include a invoice and W-9 in the return package. 31 days after the signing I submitted another invoice and W-9,at the 45 day mark I called the offive and was told I would have to speak to the owner who of course was not there at that time, nor was he there for two subsequent calls. I sent a letter informing them of my intent to elevate the collection action if payment not received by 29 March. Today is 30 March, no payment. I called the borrower and obtained the bank information. I will contact the lender. Post to continue as situation develops. 04/10/2012, I sent another hard copy letter, contacted the lender, (no reply) and filed a complaint with the Ohio Division of Insurance, consumenr complaints, www.insurance.ohio.gov. Interstate commerce commission is my next step. 14 April,I received a letter from the lender stating they would look into the matter. 7 May, I finally received a check from Atlas. Amazing how these companies try to hose the notary. Never again.

Do not work for Atlas Title Agency, HIlliard, Ohio. They cut my fee by $20.00 after I had to correct a signature affidavit. They didn't even discuss this reduction wtih me. They do not communicate well and there were troubles getting the documents on time.

I accepted a closing from Atlas Title co on Tuesday 3/17/09 for today, 3/20/09. I received a confirmation email that only had the borrowers info and a bad contact number. I sent 3 return emails to title company requesting their contact (i.e., address, etc) along with a better contact number for the borrower. The title company never responded. I received docs this morning. I then replied to that email stating I would not print docs without their info. They then responded stating they never received my requests(of course I kept copies of the emails I sent) and then they provided their info. I printed docs and located several numbers for borrower. Made contact with borrowers home and an hour before the appt was told by borrowers relative that they could not meet for closing due to a grave family emergency. I informed Title co and forwarded my print fee invoice. I later received an email from them stating they did not pay print fees and that I was out of luck. I contacted lender (major lender) who advised they would pay me because I was one of their approved vendors. Wow.
