I did one for them at the end of Sept. I saw their poor payment rep on the forums and talked to them about it via e-mail. They acknowledged that they had experienced some payment issues but were just about all caught up. They assured me in writing that I would be paid within 30-45 days. It's now a few days short of 45 days. One reason I went ahead and took the job was because I know the borrowers and the job was less than one mile away from my home. Additionally, there were recent comments on the other forum where people had posted that they had indeed finally been paid.

If I were you, I would begin calling the title company and the loan officer to let them know that the signing service they are using is not paying the notaries. I will be doing that in short order if my check doesn't come very soon. I remember that the L/O was really nice, and I was thinking how that was good, because I would be calling him if I experienced any payment issues. It's not that the TC or L/O will pay you, but when they begin pinging The Closing Group about why the notary was not paid on their deal, it embarrasses the SS and usually gets some results.

The Closing Group L.L.C. Louisville KY- We did a closing on 8/29 2008 and have not been paid after emailing and calling several times. Beware of this Co.
