I have worked with P/Is doing this type of work. I charge a fee which is for 1 hour including travel and then quote them an hourly fee with 15 min. segment billing.
A number of times I have received a bonus, as they are passing a fee along to the atty. they are working for. These generally are affidavits concerning an accident.
Also use same arrangement for swearing in witness for telephone deposition in law suits.

Have any of you done any work on the side with a company that was looking to hire a notary to go along with them to meetings in the event they need something notarized? If so, what did you charge? They are wanting me to do this on a Saturday and Sunday from 11-6 every 6 to 8 weeks. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
