Certified vs. Commissioned?
Many notaries think they are certified because they are a notary. This is a semantic error on their part. A notary is "commissioned" by their state. Other notaries say, "I have my notary", meaning that they have their notary commission. Certified refers to notary signing agent certification ONLY in our line of work.
