Tip: E&O Insurance

E&O Insurance (errors and omissions)
Every notary should have some type of errors and omissions insurance. I have never heard of a notary getting sued, except for one or two who committed blatant fraud. But, how much to get? Many title companies have a set amount of E&O insurance you need to get on their list of notaries. Each company has a different amount ranging from $50,000 to half a million. Think about what potential clients might want and what the insurance could be worth to you as an investment in client attraction. Also, you can publish how much E&O insurance you have on your notary profile on 123notary and it will impress many if you have a higher amount.
