Each state has different rules for renewing your notary commisison. California requires you to take an additional course before renewing, while other states may not. Complete your renewal paperwork several months ahead of time so there is no lapse in your commission. Notary divisions sometimes take a few months to process their paperwork which could leave you out of a job.
