Escrow Collections

Function: noun

Definition 1:
Funds collected by the servicer and set aside in an escrow account to pay the borrower's property taxes, mortgage insurance, and hazard insurance. The borrower must make deposits into the escrow collections in one form or another. It would be common that a portion of the monthly payment called an "escrow payment" would be designated to go to escrow collections.
