I went to Joshua Tree National Park to rejuvenate with the cacti. Several days before my departure Google weather said it would be under 100. I can hike for about four miles in weather up to about 102 if it is flat and my head is covered.

Then the weather changed its mind at the last minute. It became scalding hot. I had to get my car repaired an hour and a half east of the city since that is where my car guy moved. so, I figured I should multitask and head to the desert. Luckily for me it was only 100 to 103 while I was hiking so I managed and took multiple short trails instead of one long one.

But, on the drive back home through Indio, it got up to 122 and was 115 plus most of the way. My car started to overheat so I turned off the AC and turned on the heat to reduce the heat in the engine which worked fast. I was going up an incline for about 10 miles which put strain on the engine.

I don't know if you Notaries drive around in excessive heat, but it is no joke.
