I guess Skye hasn't learned their lesson. I stopped working for them over a year ago. I still get calls from them wanting to sign me up. I guess they don't keep records of notaries that tell them to fly. I agree to sign up for a minimum fee of $300 paid in advance.

Amazing they haven't taken me up on it.

Took 3 months and constant calling and emailing to get paid. I'm done working for them!

They refuse to pay me for a closing I did said there was no record of it bc it did not close, so they will not pay trip fee or printing fee. I have had it with this company you need to constantly call to get payment. Waiting 2 months for an additional signing, payment is promised still waiting.

Payment going through bill.com took them about 2 weeks to get it processed. They did not include July and a print fee for a canceled signing.

IMO this company (for CA) is just slow on pay like others, just make sure you keep track of what you have completed and bug them about payment.

I had worked for Skye in the past with no problems. Paid Direct Deposit in less than 20 business days. Now, a job done on 6-29-16 was due for payment on 7-27-16. Accounting only responds with a auto email stating that they will email back within 24-48 hrs. or less. Out of a dozen emails sent they only responded to one because I put something different in the subject line. A statement to pay for the above job was given on the 1st to wait another 7-10 business days. I have 2 other jobs outstanding that 20 business would be due on 8-9-16 and 8-16-16. I tried chatting and that got me know where so I found what I thought was the accounting number on bill.com and called. Needless to say you had to leave a voicemail. I had told them that I would be posting on the forums to stay away from their company. I finally got a call back, but of course not from accounting. Now the extra 7-10 business days would have been on the 12th at the latest. Now I'm told that they are a small company and only have one accountant and that she has cancer and is sick a lot so she is behind and they are trying to pitch in. I was told that they have their process and so does bill.com so that is why there is a delay(so which is it, sick accountant or bill.com) and that on the 16th I would be getting notification of my direct deposit for 2 of the 3 jobs. I asked why not the 3rd because the 20 business days would be on the 16th for the last job. I was told "oh no its 30 business days". Not according to their website it is clearly stated 20 business days. It didn't matter what I said it was just lies and excuse after excuse. Please stay away form this company.

Love working with Skye closings they have a system just like snap docs. I have been paid the first time in a timely manner around April 2016 didn't bother them about next payments b/c they paid me the first time but I do have signings from March that have not been accounted for, got a message yesterday that it will take 7 days to process for direct payment.

Will update when payment is received

Unfortunately, Skye Closings doesn't appear to be paying their Signing Agents anymore. Previously, you could at least rattle the cage and a check would pop out, but no longer. They are scheduling signings with no intention to pay you. Close to the payment date, they will call you to offer you another job - just to see if they have to pay the last bill for you or not.
They had restored their past due payments with me (I had 4 outstanding services) and I allowed them to "reset" and go forward with scheduling. They paid for 4 signings and now #5 goes unpaid. Since I turned down the last assignment, the check never came as promised.
NO PAYMENT NO SERVICE

I feel compelled to help my fellow mobile signing notaries. If you read other posts on this forum, you will find that Skye Closings is problematic in that they do NOT pay as they say they will.

If you sign up for their direct deposit, you are told you will be paid in 20 days. When that does not happen and you complain, accounting says, "Oh, that means 20 BUSINESS days or translated to 30 days. Then, you STILL will not receive payment and the run around begins that goes on for weeks/months.

I kept emailing the accounting department requesting payment, and they started bouncing my emails back as undeliverable. So, I used their same email but a different email account I have, and, voila, the email went through! That is the lengths Skye Closing will go to to avoid paying a notary for a job 2 months old.
I finally called Quicken Loans at 800-411-5627 and spoke to Ken Lane. He said he would call them directly.

I feel stupid as Skye Closing did this to me once before. They explained it away as their accountant had changed, and the new one was just beginning to get caught up. Don't believe that BS like I did. Skye will just screw you over the next time! I have since turned down 3 more signing jobs explaining I had still not been paid for the last one. Clearly, they will continue to call around until they find another sucker to work for free.

I should probably also state the 2 jobs I did that I got the accountant story about why I wasn't paid involved over 200 miles round trip for each. One job, I had to go back a 2nd time in a snow storm--for that December job I charged $400 for the 2 round trips and finally got paid a total of $300 in April. They couldn't find their paperwork documenting the $400 fee as that rep had left the company! The second time (shame on me), after being reassured I would be paid promptly, I drove 248 miles round trip to a camp down a dirt road in a very remote part of Mainel Skye agreed to pay me $215 for that closing on May 18. Tomorrow is July 1st and I still have not been paid. And, they have the nerve to bounce my emails back to me!

This is my good deed for the day for my fellow mobile signing notaries. I will no longer accept any job from them, so they will likely be calling YOU! Avoid Skye Closings like the plague unless you are into doing closings for them for free as your good deed for the day!
