I would have charged extra too - not only the time involved, but each of those 5 signers is entitled to copies of certain critical documents, if not the entire package. Did that 420 pages include copies for all parties or only 2?

Don't blame you for bowing out.

I was contacted to handle a signing in a town about 25 miles away. I quoted $150.00 to include printing of up to 340 pages of documents, travel, and time, I was told there were two signers, husband and wife. When the documents came they said it was a little big, they wanted me to print a total of 420 pages for the same money, and mentioned in passing that there would be FIVE signers, not the two listed on the assignment. I told them I would charge an extra fee for the additional printing and the additional signers. They refused to pay anything additional, I withdrew form the assignment. Noting like trying to stuff additional work on the notary at the last minute for the same money. We will never work for them again!
