Any one of the 68 people who read this suggestion tried it? What happened?

I frequently (due to my area) get several calls for the same signing...both from TC and then various SS...all of whom tell me they need to 'get approval of my fee'. Just be aware that this ploy is used by ALL while they continue to shop. Sometimes, I will get a call back immediately and I take that to mean that I was the last notary they called...and either my fee is identical to others OR lower because I'm much nearer the location than others.

What you can do is tell them you'll hold while they get approval. Prepare to hear some mumbled excuse, which tells you they're gonna shop around OR your statement gets you a signing.

If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.
