Hello Patricia,

Yes, this is still correct. According to California Government Code section 8207, "A notary public shall not use the official notarial seal except for the purpose of carrying out the duties and responsibilities as set forth in this chapter. A notary public shall not use the title "notary public" except for the purpose of rendering notarial service."

I refer the requesting party to the government code for the reason I am not able to comply with their request.

So, you will not be able to comply based on this government code. They can always verify your information with the CA SOS.

I am signing up with a new signing company and they want a copy of my notary seal/stamp. I remember in class that the teacher said if anyone (TC sign SS) wants a copy of your stamp, DO NOT SEND. Is this still correct?

This I in California and it is for Avenue 365. Any info out there?

Thanks, Patricia
