there are too many ways that they deal with a doc and ID name discrepancy. I do call the Signing Co and or title and let them know of it, and that I will be notarizing in the name that appears on the ID regardless. Sometimes they will instruct borrower to initial and change or else just initial, sometimes they will want a redraw, or do an aka or WATA (who acquired title as) deed.

Yes I did - back when I first started in Florida and the LO told me to change the name on the face page of the mortgage. Having an extensive background in real estate closings (in CT), I questioned this and he claimed to have called title and okayed it with them. So I did as instructed.

When I left I called my hiring party and told them of the LO's instructions and of my discomfort with it - they said I was right and that was NOT acceptable...ended up being a redraw, I did get paid for the job *I* did, and was called for the resign but, unfortunately, was not available.

Sometimes to compelte a signing, you need to have the name on title changed, so that the names on the documents can match the identification. This is a clean way of have a well coordinated signing. Has anyone experienced this type of situation?
