I was at a signing, the choice of a table, was a high counter, with 30" barstools or a coffee table. Being a short person, under 5' I choose the coffee table. We were sitting on the sofa, leaning over to do paperwork on the coffee table. I had noticed a lady walking by several times on the sidewalk outside, in both directions. A few minutes later the doorbell rings, and the borrower gets up to answer the door. It's the lady who has been walking up and down the sidewalk. She asks when "Jody will be back, he says, tomorrow." The lady nearly trips over herself trying to get a look at me in the living room. During this time while the gentleman is at the door, his dog joins me on the sofa. The gentleman comes back shoos the dog off the sofa, and the dog pees as he jumps off the sofa, with his pee stream hitting my arm, leg, and the stack of paperwork on the coffee table. I am just shocked beyond belief. I politely ask for some paper towels and start rescuing the paperwork from further soak through damage. The borrower was of course apologetic, and we wiped up the damage, I swapped out his dry paper work for the damp ones, asked to wash my hands, did the best I could to wipe off my sleeve and pant leg. Believe me, after I left, my first stop was at the nearest convenience store, for a better clean up job. When I got home about 1/2 hour later, I headed straight for the laundry room, and deposited my clothes in the washing machine, then I headed straight for the shower. I was so GROSSED OUT!!!!!!!!!
