I just completed a signing last night. When I called the borrower the day before to remind her of our appointment she said she wasn't sure it would be a good time as her puppy was to be neutered that day, and she didn't want to upset him. I assured her the appointment wouldn't take more than an hour, and that I am a pet lover, she could tend to her pet as needed during our appt.
My knock on the door resulted in an earsplitting commotion of barks and howling. It's a small house, and this dog is BIG! He's in a cage, and not feeling any bit of pain. I conducted this signing to his "singing" -- he was a hound mix, and had a very healty set of vocals. I had to shout the entire signing so I could be heard above the "puppy!"
