Hi Jeremy,

I'm 123Notary Certified and NNA Certified. I have to tell you, I learned a LOT (much more) from your course than from the other. If you are new, you should absolutely consider taking this certification. In NJ we get no training whatsoever. So I appreciate and use the knowledge you shared. Thanks.

We have changed our prices and policies for certification.
The new price is $27.95 which is much higher than before.
However, if you pass the test on your first attempt within (10) days of your purchase, we will give you a $30 upgrade on your listing. So, if you have never purchased the certification before, now you are getting a better deal than we have ever offered, assuming you don't procrastinate studying and actually taking the test.

Certification as a loan signer simply means passing a test that proves your knowledge as a loan signer. Any notary agency can provide such a test. However, 123notary only acknowledges its own certification, and not other agencies' certification since their testing standards differ greatly from our own.

Certification does not mean commission.
All 50 states in the U.S. plus Washington D.C. have the capacity to commission (appoint) a notary public. Please use the term commission, not certify or certificate for appointing a notary public to office or for being appointed as a notary public. You can say, "I'm a commissioned notary in the state of Rhode Island".

Being certified has nothing to do with being a notary. No government agency regulates the certification of notaries as loan signers. Loan signing certifications are done by private companies who are in the notary education business. The NNA has the most famous notary certification and many notaries confuse it as being the only certification, or at least the only one worth mentioning.

123notary.com also has a certification program that is short and to the point. Ours focuses only on what you really need to know, and the prep book and test are both online and fast. The test allows you only six and a half minutes to answer fifteen questions, so there is no time to think -- you have to know the answers inside out, forwards and backwards to pass the test in that time frame. For those who study and review carefully, they can pass the first time.

What is the benefit?
Notaries certified by 123notary.com get roughly 78% more visits to their listing than those in comparable positions in the search results who are not certified. That translates into a lot more business. Our browsers have faith in our certification as it separates the motivated and competent notaries from the rest.

I am already NNA certified, why should I bother with the 123notary test?
If you advertise on 123notary.com, you will not get credit for your NNA certification and you will not get our green certification icon next to your name, and the icon attracts lots of business. You will lose out. If you advertise on 123notary, get certified by us. If you advertise with NNA, get certified with them. Each "Jurisdiction" has its own procedures if you want to look at it that way.
