This DEADBEAT owes me for a closing in Nov. 2009. I'm hoping to get some solid info on his whereabouts so I can have him served. If anyone knows where he is hiding please let us know. I have the complaint papers ready to go!

JM CLOSINGS:This is the lame Email I got from the company that contacted me to work with JM CLOSINGS.

My company received a voice mail from you a short while ago that was forwarded on to me in regards to payment from “JM Closing Services”. I am not sure why you are contacting us as we have nothing to do with them. JM Closing Service was a customer of ours that contracted services from us for approximately 2 months. We canceled our contract for with them after payment wasn’t received. (They owe us close to $5000.00)The owner of the company is a man by the name of Jonathan Means. The only contact information that we have on him is the information that is listed at his website. We have been trying to collect payment from JM Closing Services since November 27th and have not received any communication from them.

MyNotaryConnection has been running scheduling desks for individual companies for a number of years and we have never seen the situation that JM, Jonathan Means, has created for himself.

Yes JM Closing Services closed recently (http://jmclosing.com/) but don't expect the owner, Jonathan Means to reply to emails. He owned me for a signing I did over 6 months ago. His staff were sympathetic but on quit him too unpaid. Any efforts to reach him were fruitless unless someone has a way to find him? Yes he has been warned about on other forums. All we can do at this point is spread the word and hope he doesn't open for business elsewhere under a different name!

On another notary forum it's been reported that JM Closings has shut their doors. That might explain the non-payment. Check out NotaryRotary. It's been in the last couple of weeks that it's been mentioned.

I did one without checking the boards because it was an "emergency" closing. Needless to say it looks like I will have to fight to get paid (of course it will be done through the legal system so it will end up costing this dud a lot more than the cost of the closing. How do these losers sleep at night? Beware of this one!!

I don't think the court needs to approve it, especially if the settlement has nothing to do with a court case, such as lottery winnings and insurance settlements or any other annuity or structured settlement program. Depending on how the settlement is structured, often the recipient only needs to change the beneficiary of the settlement. If it's a court ordered settlement, I don't know if the court needs to approve a beneficiary change or not.

"PS. 123lumpsum STILL has not paid from August, and the recipient of the funds (lump sum pay-off of a structured settlement) has not received his money either!"

Don't these structured settlements have to be approved by the court since they're a result of a settlement form a lawsuit...maybe that's what's holding it up depending on the backlog of cases in the court system. Or maybe the signer canceled the deal and just doesn't remember - it's been known to happen.

Problem with this is you did your job and should be paid no matter what...

RUN AWAY!!! They don't pay, they don't call back, their website does not work and their voice mailboxes are all full!

President: Jonathan Means, <Jmeans23@jmclosing.com>, 410-961-4377

Did a signing for them (loan modification (I should have known, eh?)) on September 20, 2009. Today is December 16th.

This company is NOT to be confused with JMT Document Services, who are excellent!

PS. 123lumpsum STILL has not paid from August, and the recipient of the funds (lump sum pay-off of a structured settlement) has not received his money either!
