Looks like they have a new business. Check this out.

Stephen's resurrected in Citrus Heights, CA, now doing live scan fingerprinting.

So, to all the notaries who got stiffed: Drop in and pick up your hard earned money. He takes cash so he should have plenty on hand to settle up on unpaid notary fees.

Update: I tried emailing and calling-no response-and they are hiding behind an auto attendant- I am recommending that this is no a viable agency to use, and you services will not be paid

I have signed for them for years. They have always been slow to pay, 60-90 days, but I have always been paid. HOWEVER, things seemed to have changed. I did two signings last September and have not been paid. In January, they said my check was on the owner's desk, waiting for a signature. That was six weeks ago and now they are not answering emails or phone messages. When you call their office a person used to pick up, now you just get an anwering machine and they DO NOT return calls.

I have worked for them several times in the last 6 months and always been paid. Slow but steady.

Keith is a nice guy, trying to hold it together. Has always paid me. I haven't had a signing from them, but I would hesitate to take one even if he was slow paying. He has integrity.

Yes, I worked for Finish Line in Jan 2009 and had to inquire about where my payment was. After the inquiry, they sent it out. I received it at 48 days from date of service. Other than that, they were pleasant to work with.
