Navy Federal still does all kinds of loans. However, NFRES (Navy Federal Real Estate Services) no longer processes them. They use different title companies instead of NFRES.

Have you ever closed a Navy Federal loan? They are a 10 minute job, if that, including getting IDs and completing your journal. I will do them all day, if they could provide that many in my area. They do pay more for full equity loans. Docs are just about always sent to the borrower at least 2 days before the signing. Never had any issues with them.

I found them to be a low baller on every signing! $50 is all!?? Oh well, sorry, if I walked next door it may be a possibility but not any further! They make money...but then sweet Notary gives them also! Oh NO!

Got an e-mail from them a couple weeks ago to the effect that they are no longer doing their own scheduling. They did not say who they would be going thru for this service. However, long ago experience before they were DIYing tells me that they'll be going thru multiple SS. Added note: even when they were doing their own scheduling, I'd still get them thru SS at a better fee than NFCU was willing to pay, direct. Go figure--I sure can't.

Actually, that's who I used to get them through, but I haven't had one through them in more than a year. I'm now getting them through First American Signature Services.

For the last couple of years I have been getting regular signings from NFCU (usually 3-5 per week). I haven't heard from them in about six weeks, but have been getting Navy Federal signings through a signing company. Does anyone know if they are outsourcing all of their signings now?
