Why would you say I won't accept a fee of $40.00 but I will accept a fee of $50 for a signing. What? Think about your liability and your time and your printing fee. Your phone calls etc. etc. If its four or five pages maybe. But if your talking about a real doc of 100 pages or more Man think better of yourself. You are a notary public an officer of the state you reside in. Your $40.00 signing may have repercussions that send you to court to testify. You need to get more.

I did some work for ATM in 2006 and only a couple in 2007. They called me to do a signing in 2008 while I was in the hospial having a knee replacement, and my husband told them I would be available in about a month. I haven't heard from them since. They always paid within a week or so from doing the signing. Their price went down a lot in 2007.

I have also been contacted by Servicelink, and agree that $45.00 is too low for any signing. I am trying to make this a full time business, so agreed to $50.00 within 10 miles of my house. Anything over that distance is negotiated-including e docs. If all notaries agree to NOT accepting a fee of $45.00-perhaps the signing companies will raise their pay!

I have been doing work for ServiceLink for a number of years. I get called a lot but I don't do much work because their recruiters have have me down for $75.00 regardless of where the signing is. I don't work anywhere for $75.00 so we negotiate each fee. If they are in a bind, they agree to my fee and if they are not in a bind they look for someone else. I am in a rural area where there are no signing agents within 40 miles so sometimes they have to come back to me.
Same with ATM. I don't work for $45.00 so if they need me, we negotiate a fee.

I did some work for them in 2006.

I did one closing for ATM/Service Link in February of this year. It was edocs and they paid within 12 days with the exception of a $25 print fee, which I've called twice to get paid for.

I always work for them, I always manage to get a few extra dollars out of them. For $45 & $50 I only do my city. If it is further away, either they pay me extra or loose it to someone else. Most of the time I always win.

ATM/Service Link called me and wanted me to lower my fee from $65 to $45. I feel that is an insult. I close alot of loans for Service Link, and very little for ATM. ATM only pays $45, so unless it is right in my back yard, I normally turn them down.
I think Service Link is being influenced by the ATM mangement, with gas at 3.50 a gallon, I can't afford to take closings for $45.00.
It's not worth it.
Is anyone else getting these called from ATM, now Service Link?

I have worked for them for years also. They were the first of their kind to call me back in 1994 or so. I work for them occasionally still. They were bought by ServiceLink last year. So their letterhead and logo have changed. They still have a computer call and tell me the info and ask me to accept or decline. They are generally easy packages and they go to the borrower, so I show up and notarize 4 things and about half the time take the package to drop it. I have noticed that these borrowers are the ones who don't take their hands off the paper while I'm notarizing it. They only pay $45-65 so I don't say yes unless it's really convenient. Then I receive the check the next week or so. It was sure nice, consistent work and payment back 4-5 years ago.

ATM Corporation was discussed in other posts, but not much was said about it. Does anyone have much experience with them?
