Just as expected, no payment to date from Nexus Signing Solutions. He pretended to work in good faith in the face of the title company by pretending to want a copy of my E & O policy so that " they could pay me" well policy was faxed 2 weeks ago, and my payment still has not found its way to my address. Just as I though he was hoping that I did not have E&O insurance. So that he could use that reason as an excuse not to pay me, calling it as, he has written in his contact-( faxed to me 60 days after the signing) me forfeiting my fee by not supplying Nexus Signing Solutions with a copy of the policy. I called title as requested and advised her of forwarding his request and the fact that I still have not received my fee. She stated that they have stopped using Nexus for that reason as several others had called. I was somewhat taken aback when the young lady whom answered the phone at title prior to me speaking with my contact, asked to assist. I briefly explained my plight, she said let me guess you are referring to Nexus, we both had to laugh.

I know how you feel - I have a couple that are overdue (not Nexus BTW - no experience with them) and I have to chase them ...guess it's just the nature of the beast. Good luck and I hope you get paid without too much more hassle.

Linda I guess you are right, I am just so peeved at them to have the gall to commission a job from someone, the work is completed, then they totally ignore the person that actually did the field work. Yes, I know it happens all the time, and getting more common everyday. I just cannot and will not get used to not being paid for my work. I cannot afford to print, gas up, travel (after work rush hour), spend time somewhere I would not normally be,... as you know I can go on with the details but everyone that does this work clearly knows what goes with this job, and not to get paid to boot is like a slap in the face. Nexus wanting my policy afterward is strange to me as he contacted me I never once called them,(will several times after my check never came) he got my name for 123notary, so it is not like I was soliciting him for work. But I guess It's not much he can do with a copy of my policy, the request at the point in the game is just a pause for thought. I will begrudgedly fax it today. Maybe it will be here after I return from Disney World in a week. I will be sure to post.

IMO - send it along with a W-9 so that, in a couple weeks, they can't say they need that too..I've been asked for my E&O before (usually prior to the signing) and I send it

I also had to call title on Nexus, they seems disturbed about the matter, soon after I hung up from title Nexus emailed, requesting a copy of my E&O so that can Pay me. Funny my E&O was never mentioned prior to the signing, not once during the several times he called me to be assured I was still going to complete the signing, as the borrower and LO had to work out things and the date was changed a couple of times. I don't feel comfortable sending them anything other then my address on where to send my payment, and told them so along with another invoice. Did you have to fax a copy of your E&O? Seems like another tactic not to pay me for my work, maybe he is hoping I don't have insurance ( I do--100k policy) just do not want him to have a copy, I don't trust them and will run to the bank when and if the check arrives. I will never do business with Nexus again. I just want to get paid for the work I completed. E&O is discussed before not after. It's a moot conversation after documents have been recorded, the notary is responsible for the work done, not the signing service. This all happened yesterday, hopefully they will get as tired of me as I am of them and send me my payment. Title told me to call them when I get paid, she stated that I was not the 1st to call.

John,

Thanks for the help with collections efforts from Brian Bayless/State Wide Closing in Dayton Ohio. I emailed the title company as you suggested and explained the situation I had with Brian & Dan from National Signing Network going out of business with past due invoices. I faxed my past due invoices to a different title company that Brian does business with. I was elated on Monday when I receive a UPS package with my past due invoices.

Phyllis,

wont respond to phone, email or fax. Has anyone else had dealings with
