I did work for them a few months back. They did pay
BUT (and this is a little silly - but it was my experience)
The amount of time I spent on the phone with "Mr. Hale" was ridiculous! When I called, I said something along the lines of I am the notary on the such and such closing scheduled for this afternoon. He very arrogantly interrupted me to lecture me, that what I should have said was, Hello, this is xxx xxxx I am calling on the xxxx loan. May I speak with Mr. so and so... I responded okay. May I speak with Mr. So and so. He continued to go on explaining how I should have asked for the person.
By the time he got done explaining that, I could have had my question answered and been out the door. I indulged his arrogance for a few minutes, then finally had to say look Mr. Hale, I do not need to be told how to conduct my business or what proper telephone etiquette is. I understand what you said, but that's just not how I identify myself. You're welcome to. I think he realized how he came across. He backed down a little bit. But boy when I explained to him that I am a Notary, there to Notarize documents and to try to make the transaction go smoothly, NOT to explain line by line what each part of the paperwork means to the borrower, he got very cocky (for lack of a better word). It came down to me saying, if you want someone else to do the closing, you're more than welcome to. He got back in line then. I really felt like the money wasn't worth it for having to deal with Mr. Hale. |

HDS is definitely the best company I have delt with. They are very helpful, have someone on call 24/7 and pay twice a month on the 1st and 15th for signings. |
