I accepted a signing for this company while I was out and thought it sounded familar. Has anybody had any luck with this company. It quite upsetting to read this after accepting the signing.

They use to pay like clockwork years ago. I guess when it slows down they still need to pay themselves so we end up not getting paid or it takes them forever or god forbid they close their doors leaving us with nothing.

Good Luck!

Will avoid veridox from now on.

I did a double closing for Veridox on October 13, 2006 and was never paid. I called my contact Susan Surland at least a dozen times and she never picks up the call. A person who states she is the operator on the other side of the building can only put me through to Susan's voice mail. She states there is no other person there that can help me. I am a notary in Michigan and will be contacting the Michigan Attorney General's office tomorrow as well as the BBB to report my situation with them. I have had great help in the past with the Michigan Attorney General's office. In Michigan all phone solicitation to sell a product can be addressed by the Attorney General's office.

Do not work with Veridox. They are a company that does not pay their notaries their due. I have their phone number if anyone needs it as well as their address.

Greg

How did you get the BBB to help you?

I went to small claims court this morning to collect from Veridox. No one from Veridox showed up (big surprise!) - in any case the Judge dismissed my case because I wasn't in the correct city! What a pain in the neck just to get a lousy $75.
Has anyone else tried to take Veridox to small claims court?
Is going straight to a collection company a better idea?

I am in the same situation, what small claims court did you take them to because I am out of $375.00 and this is not right.

I did a signing for Veridox on 4/25/06. I have sent several letters and hav been calling everyday for the last 2 months. I keep getting a Susan x2 voicemail. She does not return calls. I have sent them a letter recommended by the NNA, I still have no response. I finally got to the title company, and was told that that the loan cancelled. I told her that was not my problem, My job was done and I expected to get paid for it. I am turning this over to Pre-Paid Legal. I will keep you posted on what happened. AVOID VERIDOX LIKE THE PLAGUES OF EGYPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, since the signing took place in Pittsburg, CA - that is where I have to take them to court. However, I spoke to a small claims advisor this morning and it looks a little bad for me. TUrns out that Veridox, Inc. is not a corporation (Veridox is not licensed under the secretary of state as a corp.) - and has little presence on the internet or anywhere else...
therefore, he thinks it will be hard for me to collect my money even if the court rules in my favor.
I will go to court (since I already have my date) and see what happens. If I still don't get paid then I'll go to one of the collection agencies mentioned on this board.
My only other idea is to write a letter to the title company/escrow officer that hired Veridox, Inc. I think that they should know about all of us that haven't received payment from Veridox. The title company should seek out other signing companies...that actually PAY thier notaries!

If you are having trouble collecting from Veridox you can contact a collection agency. I am in that process now and I will keep you posted if I get my money. Two agencies have contacted me to help.
Ruel- Revenue Assurance Partners 866 322-3328 ext 121
Yrma-Ricken Backer 888 264-1375 ext 318

I have had fabulous results with Better Business Bureau. Let's do it guys - the more weight we have and if we all pull in this together - it will work. So far BBB has been able to get me money from 2 of the 3 deadbeat companies for 2005 signings.

I did a closing for the 7-22-05, a first and 2nd email pkg, had to go out twice and was suppose to be paid 400 total, they have now dosconnected their phone numbers. Anyone know how to get ahold of them? Even an address would help so I can get my attorney involved!
